OUR STORY

Closing the gap between advice and the plate.

Every day, people leave the hospital or the clinic knowing what they should eat, but not how to make it happen. Families want to look after their loved ones, yet often lack the time, knowledge or confidence to prepare meals that fit a medical condition. Healthcare professionals can give dietary advice, but there is a gap between the advice and the plate.

CareMeals was started to close that gap.

CareMeals began with a simple belief: nutrition advice only helps when it reaches the plate. We set out to give families a practical, caring way to follow it, through meals planned around each person’s health and prepared with the same attention as a meal made at home.

Today we prepare personalised meals for individuals at home and for the institutions that care for them, in Penang and Kuala Lumpur.

To become Malaysia's national personalised nutrition platform and ASEAN's leading nutrition ecosystem by 2035, connecting healthcare, nourishment and well-being across every stage of life.

MISSION

OUR NUTRITION PHILOSOPHY

Nutrition should be understood, not just prescribed.

Our approach bridges dietary guidance and practical meal preparation. We start from what a person needs, work with their care team where applicable, and turn it into food that is nourishing, familiar and enjoyable to eat. A meal that is eaten does more good than a perfect plan that is not.

CareMeals supports good nutrition alongside medical care. It does not replace the advice or treatment of your doctor or dietitian.

Care first

Every meal is prepared as if for someone’s family.

Evidence-based

Sound nutrition guidance, and honesty about what food can do.

Personal

No two people have the same needs, so no two plans are identical.

Practical

Advice only helps if it can be cooked, delivered and enjoyed.

A Note from Our Founder

I have always believed that good nutrition only works when it fits into real life.

My journey began with a simple understanding of how challenging it can be for families to balance the demands of everyday life while making sure their loved ones eat well. Between work, family responsibilities and everything else that comes with life, preparing nutritious meals is not always as easy as we would like it to be.

What started as a personal challenge during my corporate years, juggling a demanding career while trying to ensure my three young children received proper nutrition, gradually grew into a commitment to make good nutrition more practical and accessible for those who need it.

As my journey continued, I began to understand something much deeper. For the elderly and those living with medical conditions, food is not simply about having a meal on the table. Their nutritional needs can be very different and even something as basic as eating can become a challenge.

This gave me a greater sense of purpose.

I realised that while nutritional advice is important, what truly matters is helping people put that advice into practice. It is about turning knowledge into meals that are suitable, enjoyable and manageable in everyday life.

That belief continues to guide what we do at CareMeals today.

We may not be able to take away every challenge that comes with ageing, illness or caregiving, but if we can make one part of that journey a little easier through better nutrition, then we are making a meaningful difference.

And that is what keeps me going.
